However, I'm trying to motivate myself into doing some sort of ongoing project. One that doesn't require daily attention. Possibly my biggest problem with writing (if not the writing itself) is my insecurity with showing it to other people. So, to practice, I've decided that what I must do is write a continuing story, and post it.
It's an effort to gain confidence, but also to hold the attention of a small audience, to see a project through to the end, to refrain from starting over or changing facts, and to stick to some sort of time restraint. I'm also going to practice scripting out dialogue before I write scenes.
Of course, between class, AV, volunteer obligations (doesn't that sound strange?), and my perpetual state of procrastination regarding the revision of my NaNo novel, this might be more difficult than it sounds.
This is a note to me, reminding me to stop dicking around and go work on it.
New Years Resolution: A page a day. I feel like I've tried this before... It'll be a page every three days during school.
And I refuse to give up TV. Even if it means the guy who wrote that last pep talk thinks I'm not a real writer.
